Safety and privacy come first
Every dog is screened
A meet-and-greet comes before the first walk. We don't take dogs with a bite history or dogs a walker can't hold on a hard pull.
Every walk follows the same rules
One dog at a time to start, a secure harness and fixed leash, no dog parks, and phones away while walking.
Every walk is logged
Start and finish times are recorded in the app, with a photo when your dog is back home.
Your details are encrypted
Your address, phone number and pet notes are encrypted, admins use two-step sign-in, and we never store door codes.

No app store needed
Open the app in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen. It then works like any other app, with its own icon and notifications.

Privacy and security
How do you protect my family's information?
Your phone number, home address, and your pets' behavior and care notes are encrypted before they're stored. The encryption key is kept in a separate secure vault, so if our database were ever copied, that information would be unreadable.
Everything is sent over an encrypted connection, and team admins must use two-step sign-in (a code from an authenticator app) before they can see any client details.
Who can see my details?
Only your team's admin and walkers, and only inside the app after signing in. They need your address and your pet's notes to do the walk safely. Other clients never see your information, and neither do other teams.
SAT Digital Labs, which runs the app, has no access to your details in the app.
Do you store door codes or where I hide a key?
No. Please never type them into the app. Share entry details with your walker in person.
What happens to walk photos?
Location data is removed from every photo on the walker's phone before it's uploaded. Photos are stored privately, open only for you and your team through links that expire after an hour, and are deleted automatically after 90 days (your team can choose a different period).
How long do you keep my information, and can I delete it?
If you stop booking, your name, contact details and pets' notes are erased automatically after about 18 months with no activity (your team can choose a different period). Payment history is kept without your personal details, for the walkers' tax records.
You can ask to have your information deleted sooner at any time.

Do you sell or share my information?
Never. We only use the services needed to run the app: Supabase (secure database and sign-in), Cloudflare (hosts the app), Resend (email), and Twilio (text messages, only if you opt in). They handle information only to provide their service to us.
What's in the texts and emails you send?
Only what you need: walk times, the walker's first name and your pets' names. Messages never include your address or your pets' notes. Texts are opt-in only, and you can reply STOP at any time.
Booking and payments
How do I pay?
Pay your walker directly with cash, Venmo, Zelle or however your team accepts. The app keeps a running history of walks and payments so everyone can see what's owed. Card payments in the app are coming later.
Can I cancel a walk?
Yes. Open My walks and tap Cancel on the walk, any time before its start time.
Why do I need to be approved before booking?
Every new family gets a quick meet-and-greet first, so the walkers can meet your dog and make sure it's a good fit. The team admin approves your account after that.
